The Mediterranean in Scanian

The Mediterranean in Scanian.

Welcome to a summer experience that tastes of sun-ripened strawberries, smells of salt-splashed winds and gives you a feeling of much more southern latitudes.

Kockska Gården

When you arrive at Kockska Gården, you are welcomed to a part of historic Skåne. The city's most important merchant's farm, with names like Carl Linnaeus on its huge guest list. Korsvirkesgården, dating back to the late 1600s and whose strategic location made the farm the obvious residence for the city's most prominent merchants. Even today, we welcome the city's most important guests. The hotel's interior - with clear influences from the Danish/Scandinavian 50s, the cobbled courtyard and the hotel's small Scanian garden reveal with all certainty that you are in Skåne - and in the capital of Österlen: Simrishamn.

Culinary adventures at Gårdens Vedugn

A pine cone throw away. Or yes - 150 meters further down the cobblestoned Storgatan - you have hastily and amusingly moved down to completely different latitudes. The Mediterranean. It's tucked away opposite the city's stately church: Gårdens Vedugn. With a courtyard to die for, you'll enjoy the best of Italy in its limestone courtyard. Antipasti, wood-fired pizzas. Directly imported delicacies from Italy are combined with carefully selected ingredients from Österlen.
